Joseph Ronald Faries, 74, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at his home.

He was born on August 16, 1951 in Hatyi, MO to the late Buddy and Dorthy Faries. Joseph retired as an Instrument Technician from the AECI New Madrid Power Plant. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and was a lover of time on the water, fishing and swimming, even working as a lifeguard when he was young. He is remembered for his outgoing and sociable personality, never meeting a stranger.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Mary Karen Faries; his daughter, Morgan Brashear; two sisters, Joy Chipman and husband, Michael, and Myra Rone and husband, Don; and several nieces and nephews. He was greatly loved as "PaPaw" by his grandchildren, Bethany Gunnels, Mya Faries, Brody Brashear, Drake Victory, Sydni and Blakelee Peacock.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Joseph Ronald Faries II.

Cremation arrangements are in care of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
