Johnny Ray Thedford, age 46, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Born on August 16, 1979, in Dyersburg, TN, he was the beloved son of Connie Hanks Thedford and the late Larry Junior Thedford. Johnny was a self-employed construction worker and mechanic, known for his love of collecting all things and his curiosity in taking things apart to understand how they work. He enjoyed building things and was a devoted father who cherished spending time with his family.

Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Jessica Thedford of Dyersburg, TN; his mother, Connie Thedford of Newbern, TN; two sons, Johnathan Thedford (Michelle) of Birmingham, AL and Carter Balentine of Florida; a daughter, Danni Watson (Anniken) of Dyersburg, TN; a brother, Joe Thedford (Pattie) of Newbern, TN; his mother-in-law, Ola Watson of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Tabitha Hanks (B.J.) of Dyersburg, TN; six nieces and nephews, Joey Reasons, Marshall Dowdy, Glen Dowdy, Ashley Moore (Joe), Kayleigh Quinton (Christian) and Tyler Hanks; several cousins, great-nieces and nephews and countless friends.
