Johnny Carl Pierce, 71, of Tiptonville, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
He was a retired welder at Ermco. Mr. Johnny was a member of the Church of Christ and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Carl Mills officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens.
The Pierce Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his son, Joel Pierce of Kentucky; a sister, Glenda Smith of Miston; a brother, Jackie Flowers and wife, Sandra, of Ridgely; three grandchildren, Jeremy Pierce, Ashley Hill, and Mason Pierce; six great-grandchildren, Ciara Hill, Tyler Hill, Jayden Hill, Kaydren Pierce, Jeremy Lee Pierce, and Torie Garrison; his former wife, Evelyn Pierce of Newbern; and his caregiver and dear friend, Kenny Fowler of Tiptonville.
Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Carl Pierce, Jr.; and his parents, William and Velma Flowers Pierce.
Pallbearers will be Joe Wayne McBride, Jackie Hopper, Tommy Johnson, Kenny Fowler, Chad Hearn, and Tim Bunch. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Marvin, Tony Bargery, Dwight Shull, Jimmy Williams, and Macie Roberson.
