Johnny Franklin Neil, 71, of Ridgely, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at his residence.
He was a retired farmer and was a member of River of Life Church in Ridgely.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at River of Life Church with the Rev. Clayton Mahan officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-9 p.m. Monday at the church.
Survivors include his two daughters, Pamela Peterson of Troy and Tracey Torres of Ridgely; a son, John Neil and wife, Michelle, of Ridgely; a sister, Betty Cantrell of Ridgely; four grandchildren, CaCe Smith Goodman and husband, Oscar, of Tiptonville, Jaxon Neil, Jeremy Scott and wife, Josie, and Selena Torres, all of Ridgely; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis Goodman, Cainan Bridges Scott, Gage Scott and Oscar "Trey" Allen III.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Birdie Mae Heath Neil; two sisters, Shirley Neil Collins and Ruth Neil Tate; and three brothers, J.C. Neil, Bobby Neil and Billy Neil.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Hutcheson, Wilburn Smith, David Smith, Tony Neil, David Neil, Daniel Smith and Steve Nichols. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Burkett, Harold Bennett, George Tate, Odie Staggs, Terry Hollis, John Hollis and Richard Buchanan.
