Johnnie D. Sorrell's Obituary
Johnnie D. Sorrell, 55, of Dyersburg, died Friday, August 20, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired Accountant and a 1972 graduate of Dyersburg High School.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Buckley officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Martha Jones Sorrell of Dyersburg; a son, Chris Sorrell of Dyersburg; his father, Chester Sorrell of Dyersburg; a sister, Cheryl Maxwell and husband, David, of Hoover, AL; a half-sister, Misty Booker of Dyersburg; and two nieces, Julie Maxwell of Birmingham, AL. and Lisa Maxwell Terry of Helena, AL.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Richardson Sorrell; and his grandparents, Johnnie W. and Fannie Sue Sorrell and Robert M. and Thelma V. Richardson.
The family requests that memorials may be directed to Dyersburg-Dyer County Community Cancer Fund.
