John Frank Spence, 87, of Ridgely, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Obion County Nursing Home in Union City.
He was born on February 6, 1930 in Enville, TN, to the late Jessie Lee Spence and the late Ruby Youell England Spence. John was a retired electrician, where he had served as head of the maintenance department at Reelfoot Manor for 15 years. He was a member of Willingham Memorial Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his two daughters, Cheri Dishman and husband, Allen, and Robin Spence Johnson and husband, Steve, all of Ridgely; a sister, Tommie Jean Collins and husband, Billy, of Union City; a brother, Thomas Spence of Jackson; and a grandson, Adam Burney and wife, Mary.
Pallbearers will be Steve Johnson, Adam Burney, Allen Dishman, Andy Spence, Delen Collins and Kimmy Collins.
