John Edward Samples, age 89, of Wildersville, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Born on July 26, 1936, in Memphis, TN, he was the beloved son of the late Ernest Lafay Samples and Amelia Louella Milazzo Samples. John was a dedicated electrician for Kimberly Clark and a proud member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington, TN. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who cherished spending time with his family. John proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
