John Wayne Perry, 84, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on May 8, 1939, in Ridgely, TN, to the late Delbert and Delcie Shaw Perry. John was an insurance agent for 50 plus years with numerous agencies and companies and retiring from Home Beneficial Insurance Company. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family. John proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2023 at New Haven Cemetery with Bro. Butch Burns officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Dyersburg Funeral Home in Dyersburg, TN.

Survivors include his two daughters, Susan Tucker (Keith) of Jackson, TN and Holly Yetman (William) of Franklin, TN; four grandchildren, Hunter Marbrey, Addyson McNeely, Alyssa Perry and Paisley Yetman; and two great-grandchildren, Brock and Carson Marbrey.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Perry; a son, David Perry; and a sister, Laverne Seals.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
