John Edward Murphy, 64, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

He was born on February 16, 1955, in Highpoint, N.C., to the late, John Boyd Murphy and the late Alberta Skipper Murphy. John was a contractor for Biltmore Farms.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Sheri Murphy of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Jonathan Edward Murphy of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, Boyd Murphy of Georgia and Jerry Murphy of Arizona; three sisters, Letha Norris of Delaware, Marilyn Johnson and Elaine Chavis, both of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Connor Murphy, Cayden Murphy and Daniel Murphy; and two great-grandchildren, Mariah Perry and Braley Murphy.
