John A. Hollis' Obituary
John A. Hollis, 99, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
He was a retired school Custodian for High Ridge, MO. School System and a member of Independent Free Holiness Church of God.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Hendricks and husband, Bill, of Jackson; a son, Howard Hollis and wife, Shirley, of Newbern; two sisters, Susie Harris of Dyersburg and Bertha Roper of Newbern; a brother, Elmer Hollis of Roellen; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Jonas Hollis; and his parents, George and Leola Neal Hollis.
