John Wayne Fowler, 84, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

John was born on February 15, 1938, in Ridgely, TN, to the late, John and Lovella Barner Fowler. He was retired after working 30 years with the Lake County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Mackie Prince officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Fowler of Ridgely, TN; a son, Barton Fowler (Joanne) of Dyersburg, TN; a daughter, Jodi Collins (Joey) of Southaven, MS; three brothers, Jackie Fowler of Ridgely, TN, Larry Fowler of Ripley, TN and Roger Fowler of Newbern, TN; two sisters, Barbara Whitt of Dyersburg, TN and Frieda Hardee of Roellen, TN; two grandchildren, Brittany Fowler and Cati Hodges (Ben); and three great-grandchildren, Koen Fowler, Barrett Hodges and Kylan Thomas.

Pallbearers will be Steve Baker, Robert Walley, Calvin Mills and Sherman Young.
