John Thomas Darnall, 85, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.

He was a retired mechanic, member of Holy Hills Baptist Church and an U.S. Army Veteran.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Burton officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Darlene Novak of Crown Point, IN; four sons, Tommy Darnall of Lafayette, IN, James Darnall of California, Lynn Darnall of Florida and David Darnall of Indiana; six sisters, Sarah Price of Ottawa, KS, Mary Mazepa of Hobart, IN, Martha Lane of Puryear, TN, Joan Jackson and Linda Walters, both of Hickman, KY and Sue Henson of Clico, GA; two brothers, James Darnall of Memphis and Clifton Darnall of Fulton, KY; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wylodean Darnall; a daughter, Kathy Darnall; his parents, James, Sr. and Susie Williams Darnall; and two sisters, Christine Goodman and Anna Bell Cook.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Jackson, Austin Goodman, Jacob Goodman, Lucas Goodman, Clay Goodman and Adam Cagle.
