John Thomas "Cigar" Baize, 82, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Mr. Baize was a retired dump truck driver. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and he loved to go to the Four Points Cafe. Mr. Baize was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremy Mew officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Baize Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Lori Vasquez of El Segundo, CA; and four grandchildren, Veronicca Vasquez, Aricca Vasquez, Cristina Vasquez, and Graycie Sandoval.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Getty and Haley Baize.

Pallbearers will be Dale Woods, Michael Baize, David Baize, Jordan Baize and James Sansom.
