Obituary

John David Brandon, Jr., 77, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was retired from the dye house at Dyersburg Fabrics, member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, former employee of Oldberg Manufacturing Company for 19 years, former member of United Auto Workers and received a plaque for donating over 10 gallons of blood.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Winnie Frances Brandon of Dyersburg; a daughter, Sue Brandon Renaud and husband, Maurice, of Woonsocket, R.I.; a son, David Brandon and wife, Gloria, of Greenbrier, TN; three sisters, Mae Brandon Tackett and husband, Danny, of Portage, IN. and Martha Brandon Sanford and Elizabeth Brandon Johnson, both of Dyersburg; a brother, Ernest Lloyd Brandon and wife, Edith, of Johnston City, IL; one grandchild, Joshua David Brandon of Greenbrier; two step-grandchildren Holly Delrossi and husband, Dave, of North Providence, R.I. and Katherine Renaud of Woonsocket, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John David, Sr. and Lois Turner Brandon; and a sister, Edna Brandon Reagan.

Pallbearers will be Tony Brandon, Charles Wilson, Clark Reagan, Clayton Tackett, Joshua Brandon and Maurice Renaud. Honorary pallbearers will be Men's Fellowship Sunday School Class of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund.
