John C. Anderson, 90, of The Woodlands, Texas, died Monday, June 15, 2009 at his residence.
He was a retired master sergeant of the U.S. Air Forces and veteran of World War II and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with President Michael York officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his former wife, Peggy J. Miller Darnell of Dyersburg; a daughter, Johnnie C. Anderson of Memphis; a son, Jeffrey J. Anderson and wife, Brenda, of The Woodlands, Texas; two brothers, Robert Anderson and wife, Muriel, of Miami, Fla. and Norman Anderson of Torrance, Calif.; two grandchildren, Erin Yeager and husband, Justin, of Conroe, Texas and Adrienne Conroy and husband, Carlos, of Orlando, Fla.; and a great-grandchild, Abigail Yeager.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher Columbus Anderson and Ingrid B. Anderson; a sister, Ruth Anderson; and a brother, Trygve Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Larry Carnell, Richard Carnell, Carlos Conroy, James Singleton, Elder Murdock and Elder Cornelius.
