Joe Lee Callens, 73, of Ridgely, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 at his residence.
He was a retired farmer and retired as a truck driver for Ragan Trucking.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Clayton Mahan officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8:30 p.m. today at the Ridgely chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Trevathan Callens of Ridgely; two daughters, Karen Paschall and Carisa Callens, both of Dyersburg; a son, Tim Callens of Dyersburg; four brothers, Ronnie Callens of Southaven, Miss., Charles Callens and Daniel Callens, both of Ridgely, and Warren Callens of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Zach Paschall, Taylor Callens and Tara Fisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Katherine "Billie" Callens; and two brothers, Tyree Callens and Frank Callens.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Lessenberry, Herbert Leake, Jimmy Chamberlin, Greg Paschall, Tony Miller and Eugene Carnal. Honorary pallbearers will be W.C. Roberson, Wilkes Moore, Willard Allison, Doyle Larry and Buck Matlock.
