Joe Larry "Bob" Baker, 77, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his residence.
He was a retired site superintendent for Forcum Lannom Contractors, where he worked for about 50 years. He attended Parr Avenue Church of Christ and was a former member of Tennessee Army National Guard. Joe was a member of the KC One Stop Round Table Discussion Club, an avid race car fan and a former CB Radio Operator.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Chamblee officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his son, Chad Baker and wife, Jinnifer, of Dyersburg; three granddaughters, Kacey Baker, Rylee Baker and Regan Baker; three nephews, Lee Baker, Jeff Baker and Eddie Gurley, all of Dyersburg; two nieces, Sandra Brasfield and Rita Rasbach, both of Jackson; and several grandnieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Artie Lee and Wilma Hudson Baker; a sister, Lorene Gurley; and a brother, Jerry Lee Baker.
Pallbearers will be Lee Baker, Eddie Gurley, Nicky Cooper, Tim Vestal, Paul Perkins and James Manley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Baker, Andres Martinez, Tony Cooper, Richard Cathey, Clyde Smith, Terry Coburn, Nathan Williams, Charles Maxey, Bill Perkins and Rodney Chilcutt.
