Jody Ray Hurst, 50, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a technician for Terminix, where he worked for 25 years. He was a member of Dyersburg Church of God.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Church of God with Pastor Robert W. Davis officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Angela Hurst of Dyersburg; two daughters, Erica Lowery and husband, Jonathan, and Amanda Gibson and husband, Jeff, all of Dyersburg; his parents, Ray and Lola Hurst of Dyersburg; a brother, Jimmy Hurst and wife, Mary Jo, of Dyersburg; a granddaughter, Cailey Lowery of Dyersburg; two nephews, Michael Hurst and Gavin Hawks, both of Dyersburg; and a great-nephew, Caleb Hawks of Dyersburg.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hurst, Jonathan Lowery, Jeff Gibson, Gavin Hawks, Michael Hurst, Timothy Burns, Jason Enochs and Shane Goff.
