Joanne Poole Day, 86, of Cordova, TN, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Methodist Hospital in Germantown.

Joanne was born on August 8, 1936, in Greenbrier, TN, to the late, Rev. Dee R. Poole and the late Pauline Sterry Poole. She was an administrative secretary for Colonial Rubber Works, a housewife and a homemaker. Joanne was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and loved to play the piano and pump organ.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2022 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two sons, Jeffrey Gordon Day of Cordova, TN and Donnie Wayne Day of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, Bill Poole (Pat) of Washington, IL and Kenneth Poole of Adairville, KY; four grandchildren, Jordan Day, James Day, Greg Day and David Day; and two great-grandchildren, Evie Day and Jack Day.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Day; and a son, Michael Day.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
