Joan Marie Wade, 79, of Tiptonville, TN, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her residence.

Joan was born on January 23, 1942, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, L.M. and Edith May Morris Petty. She was a bookkeeper for Brayton Farms and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Joan was truly a classic Christian lady.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Brent Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Sawyer and husband, Mike, of Tiptonville, TN; a sister, Jeannie Pleasant and husband, Larry, of Halls, TN; three grandchildren, Jamie Hill and wife, Lakendra, of Dyersburg, TN, Michael Sawyer of Miston, TN and Candy Elmore and husband, Jason, of Tiptonville, TN; and three great-grandchildren, Austin Hill, Clay Hill and Zoey Elmore.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Hill, Tony Wade, Mark Wade, Tim Wade, Larry Pleasant and Jason Elmore.
