Joan Tippit, age 81, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on July 19, 1944, in Dyersburg, TN, the late daughter of Alford and Earlene Harber Collier. Joan was the Deli and Bakery Manager at Country Mart, where she was known for her dedication and hard work. She was an avid crafts person who loved to read, paint, sew, and garden. Joan cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Holy Hills Baptist Church.

Services will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Danny O'Guinn and Bro. J.R. Prater officiating. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home until the service begins.

Susvivors include her two daughters Donna Parson of Sturgess. SD and Amanda Hollingsworth (Chad) of Dyersburg, TN; two sisters, Wanda Kuk of Chicago, IL and Pat Eason of Union City, TN; two brothers, Gary Wayne Collier (Ruth) of Anna, IL and Billy Gene Collier (Ruby) of Joelton, TN; six grandchildren, Heather Wilson, Walter Parson, Jr., Presley Gaines, Erica Turnbo, Josh Chadwick and Caleb Hollingsworth; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dwayne Tippit; a son, David Tippit; a brother, James Harold Collier; and two sisters, Linda Heath and Rae Sanders.

Pallbearers will be Matt Reed, Bradley Eason, Randy Eason, Cotton Brewer, Steve Kozbil and Kelly Tippit. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Collier, Billy Collier, Josh Chadwick, Caleb Hollingsworth, Walter Parson and all of her great-grandchildren.
