Mrs. May Joan Schrider passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Millington Healthcare Center.  Joan was born December 27, 1947 in Finley, TN to the late Will & Freeda McBride.  She was a graduate of Newbern High School and was a devoted homemaker.  She is fondly remembered for her observant and caring nature, always looking for a way to compliment or help her family and others around her.  She loved looking through catalogs at the latest ladies' fashions and cared for rescue cats in her own way.

Joan is survived by her husband, Joseph Schrider, of Memphis, her daughter Stacy Pehau and husband, David, of San Diego, CA, her brother, Bill McBride and wife, Sheila, his sister, Jane Anderson and was loved as "Grandma" by her grandchildren Anton Pehau, Jr. and Marissa Madrigal and husband, Jose' and her great-grandchildren, Cash Pehau and Eliana Madrigal.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Will "Red" Madison McBride and Freeda Henson McBride and her son, Phillip Patterson.

Friends and family are invited to gather together at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg at 2:00p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025 for graveside funeral services conducted by Bro. Bill Phipps.  Family members will be honored to serve as pallbearers.
