Joan Carolyn Owens, 74, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN.

She was born on May 16, 1944, in Cloverdale, TN, to the late J.W. and Jewel Mitchell Green. Joan was a retired administrative assistant for Inland Dredging and was a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ. She was a member of several singing music clubs, including the McDowell Music Club and the Dyersburg Choral Society.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at West Dyersburg Church of Christ with Dr. Carl Mills, and grandsons, Bro. Landon Moore and Logan Moore officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Cloverdale. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the church.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Laddie Lee Owens of Dyersburg; her children, Christy Joan Moore and husband, Rob, Kevin Owens and wife, Lisa, and Kathy Tidwell and husband, Rickie, all of Dyersburg; five grandchildren, Landon Kane Moore, Logan Kyle Moore, Victoria Williamson and husband, Seth, Richie Tidwell and Robby Tidwell; and three great-grandchildren, Jordan Lee Williamson, John Taylor Williamson and Nora Kathryn Williamson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Dan Green.

Pallbearers will be Ty Naifeh, Landon Moore, Logan Moore, Rickie Tidwell, Rob Moore and Trent Cowsert. Danny Carpenter and Jackie Brewer will serve as honorary pallbearers.
