Joan Baker Maas' Obituary
Joan Baker Maas, 78, of Cookeville, TN, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on April 26, 1939, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late J.R. Baker and the late Beatrice Anderson Baker. Joan was the office manager for Appliance Mart.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Craig Lynn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Shanna Maas Gordzelik (Mike) of Cookeville, TN and Sheila Maas Lynn (Craig) of Sparta, TN; a son, Stephen Gary Maas (Lisa) of Cookeville, TN; a brother, Larry Baker (Judy) of Newbern, TN; six grandchildren, Ryan Watson, Alexandra Lynn, Katie Watson Merola (Chase), Morgan Lynn, Erik Maas and Sophia Woolfarth; a great-grandson, Joseph Merola; and numerous family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Watson, Chase Merola, Erik Maas, James Young, Ryan Sweet and John Ross Baker.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
