J.N. Thompson, 84, of Paris, formerly of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Henry County Medical Center.
He was a retired factory worker for Dyersburg Fabrics, member of Hodges Chapel Baptist Church and an avid deer hunter.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. Joe W. Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Thompson of Paris; two daughters, Wanda McCammon and husband, Larry, of Biloxi, MS and Judy Brooks of Cloverdale; four sons, Jerry Thompson and wife, Shirley, of Humboldt, Danny Thompson and wife, Anita, of Newbern, Mark Thompson of McKenzie and Mike Boswell of Bradford; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Thompson; his parents, I.Z. and Minnie Alford Thompson; and a brother, Alvin Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Roger Allen, David Boswell, Rufus McPeake, Michael Porter, David Gittermann and Bubba Gittermann.
