Jimmy Ronald Seaton, 74, of Union City, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Jimmy was born on September 26, 1947, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late James Edward Seaton and Virginia Polly Anderson Seaton. He was a truck driver for Roadway and Overnight Transportation and was a former Dyersburg Police Officer for 10 years. Jimmy was a 1965 graduate of Dyersburg High School, was a member of the Mason Tipton Lodge 226 and was a retired teacher for Swift Academy. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic during the Vietnam War.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Seaton Family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen Nicholson (Joseph) of Springfield, TN; a son, Kevin Seaton (Cary) of Union City, TN; two brothers, Charles Seaton of Dyersburg, TN and Cecil Seaton of Finley, TN; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Seaton, Tyler Seaton, Paige Tyler, Kayla Shelton, David Curtis (Kari), Matthew Curtis, Noah Nicholson and Mollie Nicholson; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Curtis, Matthew Curtis, Nick Seaton, Ty Seaton, Jason Jennings, Gary Adams, Joseph Nicholson and Tim Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Union City Auto Credit, LLC, Charles Seaton and Cecil Seaton.
