April 11, 1935 – July 20, 2020
Jimmy Dale King, age 85, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020, at his residence.
He was a retired Towboat Captain for Mid-South Towing, member of Tiptonville First Baptist Church, a Mason and avid fisherman.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.to 12:00 Noon, Saturday July 25, at the First Baptist Church in Tiptonville. Services will begin at noon with Rev. Jason Allison officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include: his son, Jerry King and wife, Phyllis, of Jackson, MO; two daughters, Jennifer (Susan) Chadwick and husband, Tim, of St. Charles, MO; and Joi Lynn Davis and husband, Jon, of Hornbeak, TN; a brother, Richard King and his wife, Charlye, of Jackson, TN; grandchildren Aaron King of Aurora, CO; Amanda (Andrew) Barlow of Hannibal, MO; Ryan Chadwick of St. Charles, MO; Nathan (Anitra) Chadwick of St. Peters, MO; Jonathan and Jordan Davis of Hornbeak, TN; a step grandchild, Heather Bishop (Zach); great-grandchildren Josh (Kelsey), Bradley, Ellie and Harper Chadwick; Kaitlyn and Emily Chadwick; Payton and Taylor Barlow; a step great-grandchild Arlo Bishop, great-great-grandchildren Laiken and Trent Chadwick; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice King, parents Roy and Georgia Shanks King, and siblings Youna Parks, Leroy King and Bobby King.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Chadwick, Nathan Chadwick, Bradley Chadwick, Jonathan Davis, Jordan Davis and Aaron King.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Allison, Lanny Callicott, Jerry Chadwick, Shawn King, David Nance, Tony Parker, Roland Pope and Bill Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Heart Association.
Due to Covid-19, masks are recommended. Seating will be every other pew and hand sanitizer will be available.
