Mr. Jimmy Lee Jones, 62, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  He was self-employed. He ran an independent housing for the mentally challenged.

Mr. Jones was born on January 3, 1958, in Dyersburg, TN, to Shirley T. Jones Williams and the late Marshall Jones.

Mr. Jones is survived by his mother and step-father, Shirley and George Williams;  half-sister Catherine Rosario of New Jersey and Dottie Toles of Tennessee; half-brother, James Jones of New Jersey; sisters, Martha Honkomp, Dorothy Mims , Jackie Jones, Jenny Jones, Lisa Lowery of Tennessee and Mary Jones of Mississippi; brothers, David Jones and Billy Jones of Tennessee and Willie Jones of Alabama; sister-in-law, Amanda Jones of Tennessee, Seung Jones of Alabama; brother-in-law, Walter Lowery and David C. Mims of Tennessee, Phillup Jones of Mississippi; and a host of nephews and nieces near and far.

In addition to his father, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his half-sisters, Rose Ogg of California;  Estelle Jefferies of Tennessee and Martha Jones of New Jersey; half-brother, Robert Jones of Tennessee; sister, Sally Lyons  and brother-in-law, James Lyons of Tennessee and brother Bobbie Jones of Tennessee .

There will be a graveside services for Mr. Jones at Johnson Cut Cemetery (Memorial Park) Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1:00pm, conducted by Pastor Richard Bailey.

Pallbearers will be Gerard Honkomp, Robert Honkomp, Todd Honkomp, James Lyons, Jr., Mark Thompson, Lloyd Stewart, Jeff Light, and Terry Dixon.
