Jimmy Lance Hale Jr., age 60, of Dyersburg, TN passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on December 2, 1962 in Dyersburg, TN to Mary Hamm Hale and the late Jimmy Hale Sr. Jimmy was the owner and operator of JR's Bodyshop in Dyersburg for many years. He enjoyed old cars, junkin' and going to the race track. Jimmy had a love of cars of any type but especially enjoys hot rods and rat rods. He was known as a master fabricator, he could build just about anything you needed or wanted; but his greatest love of all was his children and family.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5 until 8 at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include his mother, Mary "Lynn" Hamm Hale of Ripley, TN; one son, J.C. Newsom of Newbern, TN; two daughters, Jada Gean and Jinny Hale both of Dyersburg, TN; one sister, Mickie Conrad (Clay) of Dyersburg, TN; and his companion, Tammy Rushing of Dyersburg, TN.

Honoring Jimmy as pallbearers will be Gerald Canada, Alex Scott, Jason Harper, J.C. Newsom, Monte Warren and Tim Burns. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky "Hammer-Head" Weeks, Robert "Chewy" Jackson, Eddie "Hippie" Rogers and Jimmy Flatt.
