Jimmy Gale Carroll, 68, of Dyersburg, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at his residence.

He was a retired hairdresser and attended Junction Church of God. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Mac Daniels officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

All family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery prior to the service.

Survivors include his four sisters, Geneva Shipley, Carolyn Vestal, Brenda Gruggett and Sheila Carroll, all of Dyersburg; and four brothers, Gene Carroll, Junior Carroll, Roger Carroll and Johnny Carroll, all of Dyersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolen and Lorene Lovett Carroll.
