Jimmy Cleo Basham, 75, of Tiptonville, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at his residence.
He was a retired employee of Goodyear, a Baptist and had served as a paratrooper in the "Big Red One" Infantry Division of the U.S. Army.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Poe officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Manuel Cemetery in Samburg.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his daughter, Carol Bolding and husband, Chris, of Troy; a son, Gary Basham and wife, Beverly, of Tiptonville; three sisters, Diane Henson, Barbara Jones and Judy Summers, all of Union City; and two grandchildren, Brandon Grooms of Troy and Zach Basham of Tiptonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman "Red" and Lavern Woods Basham; and a brother, Johnny Basham.
Pallbearers will be Chris Basham, Ellis White, Bill Volker, Oscar Allen, Rob Dunn and Mike Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Pierce and David Dunn.
