Jimmy Lee Adams' Obituary
Jimmy Lee Adams, 74, of the Fowlkes Community, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown.
He was a retired farmer and land owner, member and elder of Dyersburg Seventh Day Adventist Church and a 28 year member of the Dyer County School Board.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Fred Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marie Adams of Fowlkes; two sons, Jeffrey Lee Adams and wife, Suzette, of College Station, TX and Rodney Scott Adams and wife, Amy, of Dickson; his mother, Louise Adams of Fowlkes; a brother, Donald Barry Adams, Sr. of Fowlkes; and three grandchildren, Colton Lee Adams, Jordan Sage Adams and Taylor Madison Adams.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Adams.
Pallbearers will be Brian Adams, Colton Adams, Jordan Adams, Tommy Eison, David Burns and Earl Dean Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. Crews, Jerry Willis, Floyd Sullivan, Glenn Stanley and Frank Miller.
