Jerry Wade Yates, 57, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at his residence.

Jerry was born on May 28, 1964, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Jerry Don Yates and Esta Kathleen Cook Yates. He was co-owner of Yates & Sons Tile and Culvert and was a member of Tiptonville Church of Christ. Jerry was an avid car and truck collector and loved Harley Davidsons and NASCAR. He loved his pets, his family and was loved by everyone who knew him.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Tiptonville Church of Christ with Mr. Carl Mills officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Yates Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Tiptonville Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Yates of Tiptonville, TN; a daughter, Courtney Yates of Tiptonville, TN; two brothers, Jimmy Yates and Reid Yates and wife, Elizabeth, all of Tiptonville, TN; and four grandchildren, Davin Walley, Kylie Walley, Palynn Scott and Savannah Scott.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Bartlett, Cotton Brewer, Rodney McCoy, Jimmy Burrus, Scotty Earl Johnson and David Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Yates Employees: Willie Benthal, Bradley Tubbs, Steven Avery and Glenn Farley, Bob Morgan and Geno Emerson.
