Jerry Clinton Wadley Sr., 66, of Tiptonville, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Baptist Hospital in Union City.
He was a car salesman for Moody-Wadley, a member of Jones Chapel Church of Christ, an avid duck hunter and was married for 49 years.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tiptonville Church of Christ with Wilford Mobley and Lonnie Grady officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the Tiptonville Church of Christ Annex Building.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Wadley of Tiptonville; a daughter, Theresa Lamb of Tiptonville; a son, Clint Wadley of Burlison; a sister, Corinne Henkel of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren, Amanda Kirk, Wade Gaskins and Brian Gaskins; two great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Kirk and Cheyenne Beal; three nieces, Cami Mussara, Tina Wadley and Amy Henkel; and a nephew, Ricky Henkel.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Wadley; his parents, Clinton "Doc" and Lettie Wadley; a brother, Larry Wadley; and a granddaughter, Alecia Kirk.
Pallbearers will be Shelby Barker Jr., Richard Blackburn, J.C. Bryson Jr., Joel Estes, John Baker and Ricky Henkel. Honorary pallbearers will be Carlton "Duke" Hayes, Winston Whitson, J.C. Williams, Shelby Barker Sr., M.D. Kirkpatrick and William Whitson.
