Jerry "J. W." William Wilson, 75, of Finley passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mr. Wilson was a mechanic for the Dyer County Highway Dept. and attended the Finley Pentecostal Church. He was an avid race car fan.
Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Wilson will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Ellingsworth and Mr. Steve Walker officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors Sunday evening 5-8 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Linda Wilson; his son, Cliff Wilson of Finley; and two sisters, Janice Bentley (Larry) of Halls,TN and Betty Ann Wheeler (Perry) of Richwoods. He had three grandchildren, Heather Reeves, Cody Wilson, and Justin Wilson; and one great-grandchild, Madison Reeves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter and Zealia Wilson; one daughter, Teresa Tubbs; and two brothers, James Harold Wilson and Jack Franklin Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Walter Wilson, Terry Wilson, Jonathan Wheeler, Andy Wheeler, Jimmy White, and Keith Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Hurst, Barry Farley, Michael Jones, Michael Hurst,Greg Canada, and Jeff Jones.
