Jerry Mac Tweedy, age 71, of Dyersburg, TN passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Jerry was born on July 1, 1950, in Friendship, TN, to the late, W.O. "Buddy" Tweedy and Mary Frances Camp Tweedy. He retired from Kimberly Clark in Memphis, TN after working for 39 years and was also a driver for Rick Hill Nissan. For many years, Jerry loved "pickin and grinnin" on his guitar and enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball Games. He was a Baptist by Faith.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Andy Wright and Mrs. Ashlee McCollum officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Tweedy Family will receive visitors from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashlee McCollum (Steve) of Horn Lake, MS; a son, Todd Tweedy (Amy) of Hernando, MS; a sister, Brenda McKinnis of Hopkinsville, KY; and four grandchildren, Payton Patrick (Cullen), Erin Tweedy, Reagan Tweedy and Conner McCollum.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Tweedy; a brother, Jackie Tweedy; and a sister, Deborah Wright.

Pallbearers will be Conner McCollum, Mike McKinnis, Mark McMinnis, J.J. Glover, Scott Avent and JMichael Glover. Honorary pallbearer will be JonLuke Brubaker.
