Jerry Paul Tate, 53, of Wheeling, IL; formerly of Ridgely, TN, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL.
He was an auto mechanic.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Calvary Independent Baptist Church in Ridgely with the Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
The family will receive visitors, Thursday evening from 5:00- 9:00 p.m. at the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Tate of St. Petersburg, FL.,Crystal Tate of Clearwater, FL.; one son, Billy Tate of Clearwater, FL.; five sisters, Linda Wheat, Jan Johnson and Patsy Shampine, all of Wynnburg; Joyce Belt and Betty Boyd, both of Ridgely; three brothers, Larry Tate of Berwin, IL., Johnny Tate of Dyersburg and Eddie Tate of Wynnburg; four grandchildren; and his companion, Linda Muriella of Wheeling, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Egbert and Ider Tate; one sister, Mary Dean Moody; and two brothers, Billy Tate and Allen Tate.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Ray Shampine, John Shampine, James Moody, Paul Junior Boyd, Aaron Tate and Matthew Hayes.
