Jerry Mac Stover's Obituary
Jerry Mac Stover, 68, of Newbern, TN, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on December 29, 1948, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Ealon Stover and the late Oweda Gooch Stover. Jerry was a retired administrator for the TN Department of Corrections. He was a graduate of U.T. Martin and served in the U.S. Navy.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Carmon Stover officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 1:30-3 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Vicki Riley Stover of Newbern; a daughter, Amy Stover Critchfield of Discovery Bay, CA; two sisters, Barbara Eller (Ed) of Troy and Nancy Floyd (John) of Poplarsville, MS; two grandchildren, Mallory Critchfield and Mason Critchfield; and his mother-in-law, Joyce Goad.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tara Stover.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Camp Rising Sun, P.O. Box 8241, Columbus, MS 39705.
