Jerry L. Slaughter, 77, of Dyersburg, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.

Jerry lived in Florida for several years where he worked as a welder for Tropicana Orange Juice Company. He was also a Church of Christ.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Dyer County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Michael Crandall officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his sister, Laverne Holland of Dyersburg; and a brother, Charles Larry Slaughter of Bartlett.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Slaughter; his parents, Author and Ophelia Montgomery Slaughter; a sister, Shirley Waldron; and a brother, Arthur Joy Slaughter.

Pallbearers will be Miles Holland, Mark Waldron, Grant Waldron, Dillion Tucker, Blake Jones and Drew Sampson.
