Jerry L. North, 80, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

He was born on January 29, 1943, in Humboldt, TN, to the late Leslie and Sue Holder North. Jerry was a truck driver for Nicholas Trucking and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Yorkville. He enjoyed going to the Halls Community Center, where he would listen to the bands and enjoy the company of family members and friends. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 beginning at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Yorkville, TN. A lunch for the family and friends will be provided following the service at the Bethel Baptist Church, all are invited to come. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Norma North of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Travis North of Finley, TN; four daughters, Judy Robbins (Jeff) of Yorkville, TN, Sheila Medlin (Randy) of Friendship, TN, Teresa Paschal Derek) of Newbern, TN and Amanda North of Alabama; three sisters, Patsy House and Julieann Drake (Jerry), all of Brownsville, TN and Connie Ellis (Jimmy); twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Wayne North and Michael North; and one sister, Louise Hudson.
