Jerry Moore LaMastus, 77, of Hornbeak, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Jerry was born on October 26, 1946, in Tiptonville, TN, to the late Julian and Jewel Moore LaMastus. He was a retired Park Ranger with the State of Tennessee. Jerry was a former Sheriff's Deputy in Obion County and was the former Chief of Police for the City of Hornbeak. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier and was also a former employee as an Obion County Road Commissioner. Jerry also served in the Tennessee National Guard.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Tiptonville Chapel.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Cobb's Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Austin Norton officiating. Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his daughter, Michele Hall (Jim) of Knoxville, TN; a son, David LaMastus (Melissa) of Hornbeak, TN; three grandchildren, Jessica Ferguson (Cory), Matthew LaMastus and Lexi Hall; and a great-granddaughter, Ella Jane Ferguson.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Linda LaMastus; and a sister, Julie Rogers.

Pallbearers will be David Haggard, Warren Douglas, Shane Morrow, Dalton Gooch, Stacy Rudd and Robert Woods.
