Jerry Pate Hollingsworth, 65, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on October 17, 1953, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Jerry Houston Hollingsworth and the late Marie Pate Hollingsworth. Jerry Pate was a farmer in Ayers, TN. He was a member and deacon of Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church. Jerry Pate was a past President of the Dyer County Fair Association, was a Commissioner of the Dyer County Little Levee Drainage and was a member of Island 18 Hunting Club.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Three Oaks Chapel with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Three Oaks Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Hollingsworth of Dyersburg; a son, Jeremiah Hollingsworth and wife, Tevvy, of Dyersburg; three daughters, Jennie Pate Hollingsworth McGuire and husband, Adam, of Finley, Dana Halterman Fowler and husband, Steve, and Hannah Wright McNeil, all of Dyersburg; two sisters, Ellaine Hollingsworth of Finley and Docia Hollingsworth of Dyersburg; a brother, George Hollingsworth and wife, Judy, of Finley; and nine grandchildren, Christian Halterman, Claire Halterman, James Scott Halterman, John Houston Hollingsworth, Tripp McNeil, Grayson Fowler, Jaxon McGuire, Scarlett Hollingsworth and Caroline McGuire.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Delmer McNeil, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Levi Gentry, Luke Hollingsworth, J.R. McCrary, Jimmy Joe Welch, Eugene McLean and Floyd Halterman, Jr.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
