Mr. Jerry Lynn Cooper passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at Bells Nursing Home.  Jerry was born December 13, 1945 in Maury City, TN, to the late Leonard & Annie Louise Cooper.  Through his life, he was a cotton farmer and owned his own auto-repair business in Friendship, later working as the service manager for both, Moody-Wadley and Delta Auto Sales in Dyersburg.  In his free time, he enjoyed camping and church activities with family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Sorrell Cooper, his son, Lynn & wife, Robyn, of Knoxville, his daughter, Catherine McCann & husband, Scott, of Springville, TN, a niece, Leah Boggs and his four grandchildren, Spencer Beck, Carson & Cameron Cooper and Jackson McCann.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Cooper.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Maury City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. conducted by Dr. Phillip Cook.  Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m.   Family members will be honored to serve as pallbearers.
