Jere Arco Maupin, 78, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

He was born on January 1, 1940, in Memphis, TN, to the late Arco and Hazel Anderson Maupin. Jere was a retired farmer and also retired from the Tennessee Highway Department. He was an avid Allis Chalmers Tractor Collector and was a member of the Church of Christ. Jere was a SSGT for the Air National Guard and a member of the Reserve with the United States Air Force.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, TN with Bro. Tom Butler officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ann Maupin of Dyersburg, TN; two sons, Andy Maupin and wife, Mona, of Jonesboro, AR and Jason Maupin and wife, Angela, of Murfreesboro, TN; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Maupin, Madison Maupin and John Maupin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Maupin.

Pallbearers will be Eric Maupin, Larry Joe Maupin, John Henson, Sammy McGuire, Andy Maupin and Jason Maupin. Honorary pallbearers will Jimmy Thurmond, David McGuire and Joe Dan Walker.
