Ms. Jennie Sue Wadley, 84, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living.

She was born January 30, 1941 in Finley, TN to the late H.L. and Evelyn Fowlkes. Jennie was a devoted mother and homemaker throughout her life and attended Finley Baptist Church. She enjoyed time spent outdoors birdwatching, gardening and cultivating her orchids. She was a part of the local Dyersburg City Beautiful Committee for many years, helping to improve the public spaces in the community.

Jennie is survived by her son, Cayce Todd Abbott and wife, Leigh Ann; a daughter-in-law, Gena Abbott; her grandchildren, Jeremy Burris and wife, Jacklyn and Marissia Tiller; her great-grandchildren, Jaxton & Jayce Burris; and a beloved cousin, Martha Putman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E. Larry Wadley, Peter M. Abbott, her children's father; a son, Andrew Fowlkes Abbott; and an infant brother, Carney Fowlkes.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Dyersburg Funeral Home from 1-2:45 p.m. Graveside funeral services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg at 3 p.m. conducted by Bro. Charlie Halliburton.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jeff Swetnam, Bracken Brown, Jason Hamlin, Greg Petty, Tommy Ratliff and Mike Boals.
