Jeffrey L. Hooper, 51, of Miston, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Trenton Place and Rehabilitation Center.
He was a machinist for Bennett Tool & Die, avid camper, hunter and outdoorsman and was in the National Guard.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. David Brooks officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his sister, Bonnie Buress and husband, Danny, of Miston; a brother, Gordon Hooper and wife, Jeanne, of Trezevant; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. and Betty Carroll Hooper; and a brother, Harlan Hooper.
Pallbearers will be Gordon Hooper, Johnny Anderson, Dickey Buress, Will Rook, Jason Buress and Ricky Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Hooper, Wade Anderson and Danny Buress.
