Jeffery "Fred" Lewis Burns, 40, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a construction worker for Gary Permenter Construction and loved to sing, hunt and fish.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Mac Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his two daughters, Caitlyn Williams and husband, Derek, of Dyersburg and "Destiny" Amber Shell of Tiptonville; his mother, Janice Burns of Dyersburg; his companion of 9 years, Pennie Moore of Dyersburg; her daughter, Amber Smith; and grandson, Mason Vance Vestal; three sisters, Lora Burns and Dana Hamm, both of Dyersburg and Teresa Drewery and husband, Ray, of Knoxville; three grandchildren, Dawson Harris, Sophie Harris and Drake Williams, all of Dyersburg; and his niece, Heather Jackson of Dyersburg, who was raised with him as his sister.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Blake Burns; and his father, Lewis "Dock" Burns.

Pallbearers will be Tim Jackson, Gary Permenter, Travis Burns, Tony Travelstead, CaryDale Enochs and Jason Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Tidwell and Tony Anderson.
