Mrs. Jeannie Louise Pleasant, of the Unionville community, passed away Monday, December, 16, 2024 at her home with her husband by her side.

She was born June 18, 1955 to the late L.M. & Edith Petty.  Jeannie is fondly remembered by her patients, working as a phlebotomist in the lab of Dr. Guthrie & McKee's offices.  She was a devoted mother & grandmother and enjoyed her flower gardens and working outside whenever she could.  She enjoyed fishing trips, thrift-shopping and bingo games with her friends and family. Her kind heart never met a stranger.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, of 46 years, Larry Pleasant, her daughters Ashley Pleasant and Brooke Pleasant and was deeply loved as "Grangee" by her five grandchildren, Hayden & Parker Orchard, Bryson & Kolson Pleasant and Kerrigan Ables.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers George & Lewis Petty and her sisters, Joan Wade, Loretta Ramey and Lois Petty.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Dyersburg Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until Chapel funeral services begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Palestine Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Hayden Orchard, Bryson Pleasant, Shawn Ables, Steve Fondaw, Mike Sawyer and Ryan Hasselt.

The family of Jeannie Pleasant request that memorials be directed to Lebonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
