Jean Pitts, 80, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at her residence.

Jean was born on May 3, 1941, in Only, TN, to the late, Frank and Lela Wright Bell. She was retired from the Lake County School System and was a lifelong member of Tiptonville Church of Christ.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Tiptonville Church of Christ with Mr. Dean Kelly officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Pitts Family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Pitts of Tiptonville, TN; a son, Brad Pitts and wife, Brandy, of Odenton, MD; a daughter-in-law, Judy Pitts of Savannah, TN; a brother, Roger Bell and wife, Beth, of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Barbara Kelly and husband, Dean, of Highland Home, AL; seven grandchildren, Chaeli Brianne Pitts, Ryan Christopher Pitts, Charles Michael Pitts, II, Chelsea Danielle Prater, Shawn Lewis Mutters, Michael Glenn Mutters and Ashley Nicole Pitts; and four great-grandchildren, Lyla Jewell Pitts, Charles Michael Pitts, III, Henry Scott Prater and Ruby Danielle Prater.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a son, Mike Pitts; three brothers, James E. Bell, George C. Bell and Jewel D. Bell; and a sister, Julia Fay Matlock.

Pallbearers will be Roger Glenn Bell, Tony Wallace, Darren Strayhorn, Michael Pitts, Shawn Mutters and Michael Mutters.
