Thelma Jean Palmer, 86, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at her residence.

Jean was born on July 1, 1933, in Camden, TN, to the late C.W. Pitts, Sr. and the late Arie Baker Adylotte. She was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ. Jean was a member of Dyersburg Women's Club, DSCC Choral Society and the Dyersburg Senior Citizens. She was also members of the Red Hats, XYZ's, Keen-Agers and the FCE Club. For 60 years, Jean was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in the Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Scott Owen officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Nicks of Dyersburg, TN; a son, William David Nicks of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Louise Royer of Dyersburg, TN; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lewis Barton Palmer; and seven brothers.

Pallbearers will Mark Anderson, Tim McCraw, Kim Sellers, Jarod Lee, Spence Lowery and Carl Schultz.
